I've used E.A.R.S, Jeff used to be Pink Floyd's tech back in the 70s. Nice guy, and super knowledgeable about vintage synths.

Soundcraft Delta 32 Console, MCI 1/2" Mastering Deck
Soundcraft Delta 200 32 x 8 Console with power supply, modified for ultra low noise by Jim Williams. $1000 or best offer. MCI 1/2" mastering deck with SMPTE. $1500 or best offer. Both of these came from Mark Lindsay's (Paul Revere and the Raiders) studio, and were well kept and maintained. They both...

NYC Studios with Yamaha Disklavier System?
Odd question. Does anyone know of a studio in NYC that has a Yamaha Disklavier piano? I have a MIDI file that needs to be recorded on a real grand.

Backing Up Large PT Sessions: Advice Needed
Hey everyone, I'm getting more and more sessions in 88.2 and 96, with many, many tracks. My studio is a "vintage keyboard" studio that is mainly used for overdubs. So in general, there's just a handful of new tracks per song. At the end of the day, backing up entire sessions can be pretty time consu...

Apogee Rosetta + FW vs Rosetta + Symphony. Opinions?
Hi I'm looking to improve on my current PT 002R setup. I'm starting to switch over to Logic and I'm interested in the Apogees and their claims of low latency. Is there a significant difference between using the Rosetta with the FW interface vs. the Symphony PCI? Lower latency? I guess it's not a hug...

Those are great. Mine's currently on loan to a friend ('cause of space limitations). It's pretty standard to record them direct in stereo--the stereo tremelo is quite nice. For the classic Simple Minds/Peter Gabriel sound, add some chorusing. The effects loop is very handy, so feel free to go nuts w...

Has anybody used that new STRIKE plug-in from PT?
Just wondering if it's worth it, better than Stylus, or what other folks are using for drum sampling and programming.

Syncing 4 Track Reel-to-Reel with PT
Is there an easy way to sync up my olde Tascam reel to reel 4 track with ProTools? I'm using a 002R. I think it'd be kind of fun to have some tape warmth in the mix, and my tape deck is sitting around neglected on a shelf. Has anyone else experimented with this? Is it worth the trouble? Thanks, Joe ...

PT 002 Rack Advice (Tascam, ProSonus, Mackie)
Hi I want to more inputs to my Digi 002 Rack via the ADAT Optical Port. I'm considering the Tascam FW-1884, The PreSonus DigiMax 96, and the Mackie Onyx. Does anyone have any experience with any of these? I'm leaning towards the Tascam, 'cause it also works as a control station, but I'm guessing the...
