They had already recorded the basic track and then, at The Beatles insistence, EMI installed their 8...

Re: Oktava MK-319 mic review
Alright thank you much. Anyone know which issue, other than "the recent one", of the magazine has the article we've been discussing? Namely the one about the MC 012 modifications.

Oh weatherproof, sorry. I thought you had said waterproof (note to self: read twice, post once). That would be a good way to tell if you've got a good mix on your hands though. If the mix sounds good on $10 weatherproof speakers surely it sounds good on a decent set.

Re: Oktava MK-319 mic review
Woud that be the "recent issue" with Scott Dorsey talking about the mods to be done on the MC 012 but also helpful for the 219/ 319s? This was mentioned in the thread about MK219 mods. How recent is that issue though, can I still get it from the shop or do I have to do the whole back issue catalouge...

Re: any mod's for the Oktava MK-219?
So if I understand correctly then one of these mods simply takes in adding some "stuff" to the inside of the body and that's that? Put the body back together and the dampening mod is finished? I really would like to do the mods that drastically affect the sonic quality of the diaphragms themselves.....
