The IM2 is a mic for the iphone/pod/pad similar to the new rode ixy. It is $29 on amazon right now, I've been thinking about getting one, the youtube reviews look good. It is better than the built in mic, that's for sure. The unit that was referred to was the IU2, which I understand was a terrible e...

I love having tape op on my ipad. I didn't subscribe until the early 40 's in issues, so I've been enjoying reading some of the earlier ones I missed. Funny to see someone say they just built a screaming pentium II 233 MHz machine... Just one question. Is there a way to delete issues from my library...

I have a t410 and it is working great for music on windows, linux for everything else. Plus, for about $15 on ebay, you can get a hard drive caddy that goes int he media bay, then you have your audio drive too without anything external. Nice! what kind of processor and how much RAM? Do you find tha...

What is your podcast? I'd love to hear it. I was so interested in mixbus since it came out, but am a linux user. I ran into some linux music roadblocks and had to abandon ship (just for music production) to go back to win7 and reaper (hate win, love reaper), and 2 weeks after that mixbus comes out f...

Ilok, Smack LE, BNR LE- cheap

I have an empty ilok for sale (it will be empty tonight), and it is in a protective case I made so it can't break, has a 2 ft. USB cable. $30 shipped in US, international is fine but I will need to charge actual shipping ($30 plus actual shipping). Thanks. When I synced the ilok tonight, I discovere...

Presonus Firepod/ FP10

Presonus Firepod, upgraded to FP10 firmware (not much difference, just a few more latency options in the control panel). It is currently at someone else's house but I'll be picking it up Friday since he bought a hardware recorder. If you need a picture I can take it on Friday and send it. It's in pe...

Garageband is not part of OSX? I didn't realize it didn't come with it. As I said, I am not a mac guy (I jumped ship to win 98 after os8.1). In that case, audacity or reaper (though not free, but cheap and powerful, the mac version will get to full functionality soon). Also, every month in computerm...

Wouldn't garageband do what you are asking? I'm not a mac guy but I work with plenty of people who do demos in garageband and send them to me to learn songs all the time.

I just spent another night trying to install 64studio to my dell laptop and still it will not recognize my firewire audio stuff. My firepod worked fine on my desktop 64studio install, so I am not sure of the issue. I REALLY want my linux audio to work so that I can get away form windows, but it look...

Boss Micro BR+extras, Presonus firepod/ fp10

Boss Micro BR, in perfect shape, plus 1 gb sd card and ac adapter (not normally included when you buy the br). Original box and accessories except headphones (you wouldn't want used earbuds anyway I hope!). I use this to learn songs for gigs (can slow down songs without changing pitch as well), prac...

I was tired of fighting with Ubuntu to make it work properly. Can you give more details? I've installed Ubuntu Studio and think it's great, but the audio apps aren't seeing my audio interfaces, etc., and the tech jargon is all Greek to me... What couldn't you get to work? i love the desktop environ...

I recorded both of our church services today using the phonic board and ardour. I think I may try JAD or 64 studio and see if they are better suited to live recording than my general purpose ubuntu, which I love for most stuff. I did get it to work pretty well for our second service by not using the...
