Plus to the PSP Vintage Warmer. The knee knob is actually heaven, if you didn't know. That's where it is. We can stop hunting. So my chain is this: PSP VW Digi EQ3 Ozone Waves L-2 Waves L-2 Both of the L-2's are only barely engaged. The Ozone is more for EQ and harmonics/imaging than "Loudness". The...

The CMOS battery is for the on-board routing computer. And I'm NOT sure that it doesn't have anything to do with that corrosion; it is on the same module/board. I do intend on recapping the power supply anyway- should I start there and see how it affects the thing? The intermittency is what gets me....

The only stuff that I can visually see damage on is the circuit around the leaking CMOS battery. That part is chewed up. Seems to test ok, somehow. I can in fact see arcing. I cannot, however, find any fuses on the whole board except for the main fuse at the back of the AC in. ?! Nothing in the powe...

Soundtracs Cm4400 Power Issue
I just recieved this board after ten years of non-use. It powers on and pretty lights happen, but investigation has revealed that the power supply may need some love. I should have (According to the manual) a bunch of different power leads- +5 -5 +17 -17 +24 +48 AC and then a bunch of grounds. These...

INQUIRING ME WANTS TO KNOW
How much is a fair price for a 10-year unused 44 channel Soundtracs CM4400?
I have googled to my heart's desire, but have actually no idea. Do I feel stupid? Oh, yes.

For death, all I can say is F*** 250 hz. Right out of everything, except _maybe_bass. Most good death metal records (as opposed to thrash, goth, doom & sludge, grind, and all the millions of subgenres) seem to totally hate on the low mids, and if you're in Nile territory, apparently you should DI gu...

I'm about to buy a second one... I think that it might be possible to run both at once, and if so that's 16 natural tracks, plus 16 adat tracks, and 4 spdif tracks... 36 tracks for less that 800$, counting two ADA8000s at 200 apiece. I run a PC; I'm using PT LE 6.4 and I'm running happily on a 2.0 g...

Hey- Just did some work for The Gentleman Homicide and Silence the Epilouge. Here's what I learned/struggled with. 250hz, kick- gone. make it as gone as you can, then bring it back up to taste. It cleans up the bottom, so you can still put an ass on the kick, but keep the attacks clear. Try triggeri...

And of course you're right. If you put the mic where it hears everything evenly, things don't jump out as much. And for sure you have to bandpass the stuff- I'm usually a bit more mean than you to them and cut them down to 6kish. I hate crackle. The compression thing is a blend only, in terms of tot...
