On Bus B (Bus 3-4) insert the same compressor in bypass. If it still sounds phasey I don't think it's because of plug-in latency. But wait, auralman and pallnllap, how could it work? When I set this up, it doesn't work, and that's because the phase inversion of "Bus B" is... bypassed! I pressume yo...

The 4047 is nothing like a (an "archetypal") FET47. Well, it is more-so than a modern transformerless fet mic, but all SS mics are FET-coupled AFAIK. It's a very cool mic, but even AT said they didn't intend it to be a clone... They said the "47" was there in the model# to reflect the basic design ...

Lawson L47 vs AT4047
I've been researching the different 47 clones... And Im very interested in the L47fet... and I'm interested too, though not as much, in the AT4047 but then I wondered, why should I get the Lawson? It's $400 more... I'm in Canada so there'd probably be extra duty... And the AT I could just pick up at...

montrealers green insulation?
Hello A question for people living in montreal and make absorbers out of cotton or hemp, etc, insulation (ie- not fiberglass or mineral): Where do you get your material? I recently finished some corner absorbers, made of Ultratouch, but I had to ship it from ontario... I wonder if there's a local su...

for wall-wall corners I'm only able to do the front-left and back-left ones Symmetry does matter, but if you have bass traps that are reflective at mid and high frequencies, that will not upset the perceived left-right balance too much. --Ethan Hmm, so if I cannot put a trap in the front-right side...

Here's a plan of what I'll do: http://www.geocities.com/pietrosammarco/absorbers3.jpg I hope it's not too cluttered... well it is, but I think it's still clear I can't put absorbers in the two corners marked as such on the plan because there are things in the way (shelves mostly) just posting this t...

Bass trapping is as much about coverage area as it is about individual trap performance. If your traps are 16" wide rather than 24", you are cutting down the mass of material in your trap significantly. Makes sense What I would consider, is to use a 24" batt in front, with another 16" batt behind i...

right, i figured that that had something to do with it, but I mean, people aren't cutting them in half and making 1' wide ones... so how narrow is too narrow? But more importantly, would 16" wide be considerably less effective than 24"? Maybe it's a dumb question to be asking on a forum, i mean beca...

bass trap width
Hello I'm deciding whether to use ultratouch 16" or 24" wide batts (i'm going for the 5.5" thick stuff) Everyone DIY'ing their traps that I've read about makes them 2' wide, except this person made them 16": http://www.gearslutz.com/board/bass-traps-acoustic-panels-foam-etc/211672-diy-ultratouch-cot...
