Re: SM98S?
I know what the SM98 and SM98a are but what is a SM98S? Is it the same mic with a different mounting system? Is the preamp the round tube or the rectangular box? thanks, Steve SM98S have a drum mounting system that attaches directly onto the rim, no need for stands. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/...

Question about adding outboard gear when mixing
A couple of weeks ago I received my Apogee AD-16X from mercenary. In a week or so I'll be ordering the DA-16X. I hear alot in the forums that engineers like to record everything as unprocessed as possible so when its time to mix they'll add the compressors, EQ, effx, etc. I plan on mixing "Outside t...

Re: Question on how to use outboard gear with AD-16X and Min

Its not too much about mixing outside the its more about processing the signal with outboard equipmen...

Re: 2 types of compressors for mastering ?
Thanks alot!! Yes, in general most dedicated mastering studios have both transparent & colored compressor hardware boxes available, but they are usually used as choices - not usually at the same time. Some material works best with a transparent choice, some material needs color, and sometimes it wor...

Im just curiouse which compressors do you consider right for this type of jobs. Mention some brands and in what catego...

Now that would be cool, a Direct Out on the Fisher Price, and plug in directly into the Neve Straight to 2" tape!!!...

Re: Sure, I've got a telefunken...
That's the problem with that. Then we have those same people selling Behringer and MXL mics on ebay with badges that say Telefunken and neumann, then we have ten more post here " ANother Ebay fraud" jejejeje, then helping them with therapy after they learned they spend $3000 on a $75 mic. off course...
