It's been a few years since I used it, it sounds OK. If I had the space I'd probably pull it out of the closet, but seeing it would remind my wife that I have too much stuff as it is... The autotune feature was nice, the interface didn't bother me that much. No sysex is a definite bummer though, I t...
Yeah, I have to do that, too. I have a feeling that, if this synth had a chorus on it, it might well have been as popular, long-term, as the Juno-106. It really sounds great, but man, those pads would be SO much better with chorus.
Well, if it's anything like my AX73's c...

set dbx376 default sample rate?

Does anyone know if there is a way to set the default (power-on) sample rate for the dbx376 to something other than 96k? Maybe solder a jumper or something?

It's not a show-stopper by any means, it's just annoying to always have to toggle it down.

That's my setup too, what MIID/Audio problems are you having?

more details please

ADAT and SPDIF are two different things and aren't really interchangeable. To further confuse the issue, SPDIF can be via either coax or fiber optic (I don't know anything about ADAT but I'm pretty sure it can run over at least fiber optic). If it's just a click track why are you limited to SPDIF? S...

Re: Recording gunfire

Another thing to consider: indoor or outside location? I've notice that guns are quieter outside (less reflections). At an indoor range you'll always get put next to some bozo with his .45 (those things are loud!) so you'll spend a lot of time waiting for the echoes to die down. But this ambience ma...
If you strip one out you can always place a sliver of wood in the hole, about the size of a toothpick.
or just use a bigger screw ;-)

seriously though, you're right. another option would be to just drill out the stripped hole and glue a dowel in.

A friend just used 2x4s and wood screws. If a hole stripped out he just offset the unit a quarter inch up or down (which also nicely allowed for ventilation between the gear) and used a power drill to put 'er in. If you use the above solution, you'd probably want a carpenter's level on each rack uni...

Have you looked at the ART Digital MPA? I just picked one up, I think they're not going to be sold anymore so they're just getting dumped. Haven't had a chance to fiddle with it too much yet but initial impressions were good. I specifically chose it because it has variable impedencde which should wo...

Re: My girlfriends landlord is trying to rip her off

I'd suggest keeping REAL quiet about it if your GF goes to the housing authority, the guy sounds like a real dick and if he finds out he'll probably lock her out and/or toss her stuff out on the street (probably right after she leaves for the day). Have her look for another place, maybe do a good in...
