kenny , im using the presonus firebox. the front inputs are xlr/trs combo inputs, i was using a xlr to trs cable.(xlr-pre trs-front of firebox) little did i know that the trs part was an unbalanced line input??? i thought all my inputs were balanced on the firebox was balanced..(doouugh !! im a moro...

great posts.. im using the presonus firebox, mogami balanced cables, i hear the hum as soon as i turn it on, then ill play n sing and it ll dissappear till i pause then the hum returns, i have a hamptone tube pre n i get no hum from it, i do like the sound of the eh pre i just wish i could not have ...
