My technique is to put a cut a 1/4" hole in center 4"X4" square of light cardboard (like a REMO drumhead box) and slip that under the cymbal between the brass and the fuzzy washer thing. What did you use for the verb? Lots of it, but it sounds good.

We use a '70s-looking Sansui home stereo spring reverb when we bounce and mix. Sometimes we use a Tapco spring unit when we track. Both these items were found on my partner's junk hauling job and rule.
