Re: Snare Rattle Problem
I was having a similar problem once...drummer would hit a rack tom and caused the snare to rattle excessivly. I had a concert ticket and experimented a bit with placing it between the snare and the bottom head and weaving it in and out of the snares....really stoped the excessive rattle, didnt chang...

Re: Steve Wilson (Porcupine Tree, Opeth) and his vox harmoni
The vocals harmonies that Steve does and the harmonies that opeth has done with steve sound quite similar. Definetly some differences for sure, but Im thinking steve has big hand in them. Opeth's production changed significantly when they went to steve in many many areas (guitar and vocals being the...

Steve Wilson (Porcupine Tree, Opeth) and his vox harmonies
To any producer and/or engineers out there that are familiar with porcupine tree and opeth and anything else steve wilson has produced...how does he manufacture such insane vocal harmonies? It's like his signature, and I have little handle on what he is doing to get the effect. Part of it is definet...

I definetly would not be up for building a mic pre from a kit at this point in time, i havent even really soldered minus 1 or 2 times. Im thinking about grabiing a couple of those syteks though. I definetly am saving up for some nice ...
