The Rice Krispie Brothers that live in my computer.
Sooo...... I posted a thread a week back or so wondering if the presonus firepod would work on a 667 MHz G4 even though it says it wants 800 MHz. Well, I bought one, and I'm getting some Crackle, I'm getting some Pop, and... um, well, I'm not actually getting any Snap, thank god. For straight up aud...

firepod system requirments
Has anyone here tried using a Firepod with a slower than 800 MHz G4? Like a 667 for instance? Just curious if this can work. It seems like since the drivers are built into the CoreAudio it wouldn't be too crazy for the CPU... thoughts?

Re: it was 24 years ago today
It's too bad that the anniversary of John's death has become a Paul vs. John debate. Well, "Roll over Beethoven" as John used to say. I tried using cut off resistor leads soldered end to end, but I need to put an insulating sleeve on and what with my rat's nest soldering joints, it wasn't working. So I went to RadioShack (again), where...

guitar strings = electrical component?
Is there a significant difference between a low gauge (non wound) guitar string and the bare wire that came with my paia preamp kit? I ran out of the bare wire that they gave me, and I only need a couple of inches more. It seems a little more rigid, but it's all metal right? (guess who wasn't paying...

moving above and beyond my tascam 314...
Hi everybody. This is my first time posting here. "first-time long-time" as they say on WFAN and probably every other sports talk radio in the country. I have been recording on and off for the past few years with a Tascam 314 porstatudio. I could probably count the number of fully arrainged multi-tr...
