FS: Digimax 96K, ADA8000, PG52

Presonus Digimax 96K with external PSU $400 I've had this unit maybe 7 years or so and its worked like a charm. Tested that all functions are working aside from AES output as I have no way of testing it. Behringer ADA8000 $100 Have had this converter for some time without any issues. Tested all func...

the classic api stuff is very rad. But without the meters, the issue i'm having is trying to find that sweet spot without going too far and having to come back and try again. especially with loud transients, like drums.

API gain structure

Hi all. I've had some of the classic api preamps for a while now. And they sound great. I even made an EP with them last year and definitely enjoyed the result. That said, the process of setting up my gain structure was somewhat hit and miss. yes, I was certainly able to dial in some great sounds. B...

i'm surprised by the initial post.
I've used PRO37's somewhat frequently in ORTF pattern over drums with some pretty crappy cymbals. Even pretty crappy cymbals bashed by heavy handed drummers.
And honestly, I've found that they are pretty great. Even make the cymbals sound pretty darn good.

thanks fellas
i ended up testing it both with the ohm setting on a dmm and by passing some AC through it and measuring the secondaries. it's good to go so i'm good to go rebuild this amp.

Driver Transformer - Solid State Leslie

I have a Leslie 825 amp and cabinet that I'm considering rebuilding. However, the driver transformer looks like hell. Is there a way to check it before going ahead with the rebuild of everything? The output of the amp is currently quite weak.

is there a common scenario in which the piano stops producing sound?
When it happens does the power actually cut-off to the board?

Do any fuses blow?

Thanks for the response nate!
It seemed like a cheaper alternative to glass fuses but after reading your post and the data sheets it doesn't seem like something you'd want to have in an amplifier. a blown fuse is a warning call.

PTC Resettable fuses?

Hello all. I am wondering abit about PTC resettable fuses. I understand their function (thyristors) after some reading. but i'm not sure how i would go about select one to replace a glass fuse. For instance, where i currently use a 1.5A fast blow in an amplifier, would i be able to replace it with o...

Thanks everyone!
I ended up just going with randyman and using 1/4" connectors.
In reality the odds of me plugging any of these particular headphones into a mini jack is extremely unlikely.

Threaded male TRS connector?

I have a handfull of headphones that need to have new plugs soldered on.
Can anyone recommend a good model of 1/8" plug that is threaded for the screw on 1/4" adaptors?

Thanks!

FS: Roland JP8000 & some mics

Before it goes up on the bay. All prices are negotiable of course. Roland JP8000 is in really great shape. Everything works as it should. Includes the original paper manual and a CD that has the manual as well as some other stuff and a case, the wooden type that is covered in carpeting (not the best...
