Wasn't there a Ween song in a TV ad for a car a few years back? (Honda Civic?) Glorious left-field production, with varispeed-ed vocals for a "strawberry fields" effect. I heard the song on the ad and thought ...what the hell is this? it's great!! Someone told me it was Ween. "The Ocean" ...or some...

modulation pedals

i'm looking to add a swirly, trippy effect to my guitar set up. i'm trying to avoid that 80's chorus sound, fyi. is there any pedal that you favor for something between a leslie and a flange? i checked with the search feature, a few people suggested a deluxe memory man. any other ideas? thanks. edit...

maybe she'll drop it once you agree to work with her. some people don't make the distinction between different kinds of attention, so she could be one of those people who uses sexuality and flirting like a crutch to help with their social skills. not consciously, i mean. but maybe it's just her way ...

i used to have a Boss FZ-2 fuzz pedal. the kind with 2 fuzz setting and one clean boost. i never liked either fuzz mode, although the clean boost was kinda handy. i happily sold it, and would classify this pedal as one i would never use again.

i record in spurts. currently, i don't have a home studio set up and ready to record at any moment's notice. i've moved a couple times recently, and space (apartment) wasn't always conducive to keeping everything set up. so a lot of my stuff is boxed up. furthermore, i usually wait until a song is a...

there are a couple albums that Dan the Automator produced that you should check out. the original albums are great, but since you're asking about instrumental versions, you can get those too. they are "deltron 3030" and "dr. octogynecologist" they probably had DJs in mind when they released the inst...

that would have been cool if you posted the links of the individual preamps without labeling what was what. i wonder how people would have responded differently....

i'm not saying that listeners were biased, i'm just saying that a blind taste test would have been intersting too.

Dude, your singing just sounds so "American". Very West Coast. I am thinking like, 3 Dog Night or something. All the kick ass gear in the world is not going to get you there ... but to me the obvious solution is to start working on yr fake Brit accent. You think i am joking, but I'm not. Get some G...

sounds like a problem i've run into recently. just fuck around with it. try recording the guitar part onto an additional free track, using a slightly different EQ setting on one track of guitar and seperate them in the stereo field with some panning. that might fatten it up. or not. if the problem i...
