I'm using Tracktion and loving the simplicity and power of it (OSX, Motu 828), but can't for the life of me figure out how to set it up so that when I make a new edit it remembers the settings of another edit (I have to manually re-type track names and manually set the inputs for each song). Anyone?

One more question: how do i figure out which "soft synths" I can use with Tracktion? Can i use the synths from Garageband? Just VST synths?

Thanks -- that worked, i assigned a synth "filter" to the track, so I can now play and hear the synth.

However, I can't get tracktion to record the synth output. Hmmm....

I'm not familiar with midi but I got a USB MIDI keyboard for christmas (rock) (it's an m-audio keystation49e). How do I get the keyboard to record in Tracktion? I set the MIDI device input to the Keystation (and the midi device output to the Keystation too cuz it's my only option). But I can't hear ...

I have a MOTU 828 and can no longer use DP3 (only ran on OS9 - grrr).

Is there any free basic multitracking software out there for OS X that will let me control individual tracks and do sends through the 828?
