Profile Equipment. Need Captures And Will Share The Results.

I am profiling different analog equipment using neural network that everyone will have easy access to. What I do not have though is a lot of the sought after compressors, limiters, transformers and equalizers. Do you have an 1176, LA-2A, Distressor, Fatso, Pultec etc and would like to capture the ou...

Re: Apple Music now lets Indie Artists in.

That is unfortunately what happens with almost all lossy audio codecs. Opus, Vorbis, MP3, AAC, etc. You can study this somewhat by downloading i.e. Foobar2000 and encode music to your lossy codec of choice and then ReplayGain scan (using also Foobar2000) them and see how far over 1.0 the peaks have ...

Saturation

I learned by testing years after years that low frequencies in my opinion need saturation before compression to sit nicely. I add saturation and lowpass it down to most often around 500Hz before I blend it back with the dry signal just so that I notice that something almost insignificant has been ad...

Lagwagon - Hang

Lagwagon - Hang. It is really good. You do need to listen to it a couple of times before your thoughts of it become more positive. There are subtle things to find in many of the songs that makes them special after a few listens and there are some chords changes that first can make you wonder why the...

I have placed it back in the rack and it does not make the noise anymore on any channel (so far). Could something have been loose that got back in its place when I took it out?

I have taken the isa 828 out of the rack and placed it on top of the rack's plastic top cover, removed the isa 828's metal cover and done some testing and I hear no noise/crackling what so ever. I wonder why it crackled before. I will place it in the rack again and see if it starts to crackle again....

I actually noticed today that I hear it on the mic inputs too. Really wierd and it bothers me since the unit cost a lot of money. :(

Focusrite ISA 828. Wierd noise on DI inputs.

I get some wierd noise when I use the DI inputs on my Focusrite ISA 828. It is not present when I switch over to mic input on the same channels. I have attached an mp3 of how it sounds. I have used the internal ISA ADC going to my Multiface II correcly clocked so that should not be a problem. I have...

I think that if you use a Windows program like Exact Audio Copy that has advanced error correction and Accurate Rip (well, this won't work since your work is not yet commercially available) checking combined with correct offset settings then your outcome wav/mp3 files should have correct lengths and...
