I still plan on making records out here after the sale so hopefully we can find someone that understands what built the place and what it needs to k...

Re: Drumset that flares out at the bottom of each drum...
staccato drums also flare at the bottom. a bit flashier than the north drums, they produce a, coincidentally, very staccato sound. i break them out every time i need a ton of toms or something dead. i'd use them on more things but they tend to make clients a little uneasy. the bass drum totally rule...

Re: Tascam MM1
it's been years, but from what i recall, the mutes were the only thing you could control via midi. you store different mute 'scenes' on the mixer itself and recall them via midi using your sequencer. hope this helps.

i am running 6.1 and use rewire every day. the catch is that to use the rewire support, you have to buy the 'upgrade' for $99.

it is not worth it. it is a demo package. everything is so stripped down that it's barely usable. the t-racks only has the eq part. amplitube is only the amp part. and live won't even run through protools. oh, and good luck registering the stuff. after 2 weeks, i still haven't gotten everything regi...

Re: mix cube 888's?
they are solid converters. they don't sound great and they don't sound bad - very neutral. the new 192's sound more natural and smooth, but the 888's are not going to hinder or make your recording sound bad in any way.
