My pal Woody has come out with a new bridge for Teles - check it out.

I'm sure some of you are already using the Mastery Bridge for your Jazzmaster/Jag - this is similar. Stainless steel, chrome plated brass or brass saddles, and dead flat bridgeplate. It's sweet.

Pachyderm studio in Cannon Falls up for sale
http://minnesota.publicradio.org/displa ... -for-sale/
I recorded there several times with the handsome and talented Brent Sigmeth. (Who's still working his own studio, btw.)
Anybody want to start a 'cordin' co-op?

You know, I've been meaning to get some brass stock and figure out how to cut it out like tune-o-matic saddles, but tall enough to fit in the jazzmaster bridge, and wide enough to keep the spacing right. $170 seems a little steep for a bridge... [edit] OK. Fine. I had to buy one. I need to get one ...

New Bridge for Jazzmaster, Jaguar, Bigsby Tele, etc. guitars
Hey all, I've been working on a site that I thought the Tomb might be interested in. My pal invented a replacement bridge for Fender for Jazzmaster, Jaguar, Mustang, Bigsby Telecaster, Jag-Stang, and Bass VI guitars. Rather than go on at length about how it solves every issue with the OEM bridges, a...

Maybe backing tracks and autotune are ok...
This is what it sounds like when doves cry, and have to dance at the same time.
For the record, I can't wait for the Unplugged album.

way huge returns
Holy crap.
I've been a Green Rhino guy since I put the company under by buying the last one made. At last, my chance to grab a Swollen Pickle with both hands, and hold it to my cheek.

ghetto cymbalin'
In my experience, cut down cymbals lose too much of the sound I'm trying to save. I have a 20" Zilj with a crack that runs about 1/4 of the way around and and inch and a half in that I drilled the endpoints of, and it hasn't spread. I also took a marker and wrote 'Danger' on it - so as to keep me fr...

I lucked into a studio that was going under, and got some 'decent' mics for cheap. I'd say that you're getting pretty great results with what you have. (admittedly, I'm listening on a Powerbook, but I know its voice well :) As someone in the same boat as far as finding the scratch to have something ...

My only guitar would be the one I use now - I chat it up on my blog. (In case I can't get the image to show, SECOND link, the one on the left.) Jeez. (As I suspected, it shows for me, but only at home.) Yep, 64 Silvertone. FTW. :) There's some history stuff there if you care to read it. Everything o...
