I haven't used some of the others listed but I can say I like my Rosetta 200 alot.

I have had a set of V-8's for a few years and I'm use to them. They sound decent. I'm ready to get a second set of monitors (not KRK's). $500.00 isn't going to buy a whole lot.

I don't know about the kooltube but I have an Empirical Labs EL7 FATSO that I love on everything. Plenty of harmonic distortion. Killer on drum bus. I'm addicted to it. It's hard to stay away.
