No one wants to deal with ads. If it's like television, where you can fast forward through them or not record them at all, ok. But if you're forced to, it's never going to fly. yes, and because of that, "free" TV is on its way out as well. You're not forced to view ads with free TV. fast forward.. ...

this was sent from a friend in Nashville, and sadly NOT a joke! It would be Borat kind of brilliant, huh? Friends of his have contacted "Little Piggy Studios" as a lark and now actually have time booked there! oh man, how clever do you think you are right now? the guy even calls it a mastering stud...

step 1: scream very loud step 2: compress planes mistaken for stars' vocals have gone down hill with every record. their first one isn't so bad.. but once they decided to get a heavier "in your face" sound it became pathetic. the weaker the vocals got the more they tried covering it up with doubled ...

piratespress is bleh, their vinyl quality is usually just so-so and its always completely covered in little specks of dust or paper or something. i think most people use them for their color swirl vinyl.. but in the past year its been completely played out to the point that its become a running joke...

i love "one" rooms. i also love the sound and vibe of recording bands in unconventional places like a kitchen or staircase in an apartment complex. its easy making a record sound good these days with samples and reamping and modeling... i like making something with some character. of course this isn...

Efterklang ?? http://www.ef...

That's a harrowing situation. I hope you are unscathed after healing. Re. custom molds, all my custom molds HAVE to go deep into the ear, else the response is way out for me. I've been happily unsing the etymotic $12 ones, which work well, but I wonder if they could cause such a horrible condition....

I agree with that. I think you should use a higher bit depth once the audio is in the computer. I'm saying that TRACKING at 24 bits rather than 16 bits doesn't gain that much (if any) quality due to the S/N of A/D converters. I use SawStudio, so I'm not sure if other programs (protools, etc) do the...
