i pretty much do that. it can be hard sometimes, especially if you feel like the client is getting impatient or anxious and you still have to check levels, phase, etc. but i guess like they say youll save yourself a lot of work later on if you get the right sounds initially.

personally even in stereo, i prefer authentic doubles to copy+pasted ones. but yeah the problem is definitely more pronounced in mono. which i guess its up to the client how important mono compatibility is. but one thing you can do is add a very little amount chorus to the "double". and maybe eq it ...

all right thanks. im using 10.4.3
the drop down menu for what i assume would allow me to change it to aggregate device was greyed out and defaulted to non-interleaved device.
