Re: New EQ mag sucks other than Joel H appearance
No shit. I just let my subscription to Electronic Musician lapse. They should call it Electronic Musical Equipment, because it's gotten to the point that they don't really mention the musician anymore -- just the gear. I still think Electronic Musician has the most reliable reviews of any magazine, ...

Re: How would you use these 3 fx units?
Okay -- I think I finally figured out my routing. I guess I'll just send my midi boxes (a dm5 and an quadrasynth that I almost never use) to my stereo fx returns, and then route my fx to the mixer channels (I should have thought of that a long time ago), which should give me more flexibility, and wi...

Re: How would you use these 3 fx units?
From the little bit I've used the Wedge, I don't really find it harsh. I find the m-one's reverbs a bit more harsh, but then again I've only used the presets. I'm thinking the wedge's is going to be my master reverb. Then I'll have the m-one in dual mono mode for maybe a delay and a chorus. Then I'l...

Re: How would you use these 3 fx units?
I'm still baffled about how I should hook these up to my mixer. If I send them back to the Mackie's stereo returns -- I lose the ability to pan the effects in the mixer (I guess I can do this in the effects units themselves, but I have a real difficult time seeing and manipulating the controls in my...

How would you use these 3 fx units?
I've finally built my studio. Basically a DAW going out to a 1604 mixer. I have 3 outboard fx units -- a TC M-One, a Lexicon MPX-100, and an Alesis Wedge -- plus different sofware plugins -- the SIR VST reverb (or space modelling or whatever it is), some Waves stuff, and whatever came with Cubase Sx...

Re: New Music
Which is the lawsuit model? I used to have a PF-300 that I bought from my buddy who got it in New Zealand (then he bought it back). That was a pretty killer guitar. I really liked the sound of those sequenced drums, especially the way you got the cymbals to work. Most of the sequenced drums I hear s...

Re: New Music
Sounds fantastic. I'm interested to know what kind of gear did you use? It doesn't sound lo-fi to me at all (then again, I'm listening on my multimedia speakers).
