Darn... I just sold a Garnet, 6 ch. with seperate outs, all tube with a single ended output and reverb. That thing was amazing and super quiet. I think they're kind of rare but you may want to search eBay from time to time...

If it's possible I'd like to see them made up with the HRM 2 grill and detatchable cable. The attached cable on my Nady's is a pain...
I think the Nady's sound fine however I have noticed it doesn't have a real "airy" top end so if the angled grill produces even better sound , I'm all for it.

I have a pair of Nady's and a VTB-1, but the 50 ohm switch on the VTB-1 is not necessary, as the Nady ribbons are 200 ohm. They don't require a huge amout of gain. eg. tonite I used one with the VTB-1 and I had the gain dimmed but the output was less than half... not a lot more than a 57... I'm so p...

thanks heylow. I think I'll be buying at least one 4047 . btw, would any of you guys happen to know what the difference is between the B and the SV. Is it just color?

O.K. Here's my first post :roll: I'm trying to find mics that will serve as dual purpose , for vocals and drum overheads. :? Were recording mostly alt country, surf, 60's kind of stuff. I'll be using a B-52 on the kik, and a 57 on the snare. Would it work to use an unmatched pair on the o.h.'s i.e. ...
