i dunno, i kind of think it's exciting when you hear the snare buzz with the kick. that's what it sounds like when you hear a drummer playing.
you wanna REALLY get me excited, let me hear the snare buzzing and resonating when the drummer isn't even playing and it's the bass guitar intro. DO IT LIVE!

Just purchased a TEAC 80-8. questions about alignment!
hi, 1/2 inch 8 track reel to reel. stoked! anyone know where to get an alignment tape for this thing? according to the manual, i need an IEC tape at 15ips. i'm guessing it's hard to find these nowadays? i'm also pretty much clueless on how to get tape for this thing, as well as pretty much anything ...

you could buy the varifi, which works. or you could download the massey TD5 for free and set it on bass drop track and then set the output to another channel and record. mess around with the td5 "tape speed" for a bit until you get a usable part and then just edit the tail end of the slow down into ...

I don't know much, but I'd venture that doubling your RAM would give you a nice boost. And there's a Logic forum on the Apple site that porbably has some good applicable info. Just don't do like I did, and buy 2 more gigs of RAM in the assumption that your computer has the slots available. I had to...

What to do for general clean up on a Mac Pro
hi, i know this is probably a no brainer for a lot of you, but i've had my mac pro about a year and a half and haven't done any sort of defrag, or disk clean up, or whatever it is. i've noticed pro tools slowing down a little bit (ie the spinning rainbow icon) when adding tracks etc. which it didn't...

cool, it sounds nice. nothing too crazy, just a really nice kick sound that works well with the kit. i have a question, the diagram said it was a closed drum head. how did you get the mic in there? did you take the front head off , put the mic in there and then put the head back on? or am i confused?
