Working a funny pocket flute sound.
Tried using a pocket flute with a dynamic mic instead of my boundry mic and my vocals at the same time. I might try to work on some parts where its a little too loud. I put it through a pitch shifter on one part and it sounded pretty cool. http://soundcloud.com/jimcoll/wereidontliketoeat

Been learning some Middle Eastern stuff too because I got bored with what I normally play.
The Mic I used was a Samson Boundry Mic into a USB mixer then used Audacity, not the best setup but was happy with how it sounded.

Marvin Sease!
I have never heard of this guy until I bought one of his CD's at a flea market for a dollar (titled, The Breakfast). The CD is hilarious it has song titles such as "Put your condom on your tongue" and "I ate you for breakfast". It is late 80's R&B soul and the synthiziers are funnier than balls.

Problems with CD burning
I am recording a song on My Dell Inspiron 5100 Laptop with a M-Audiophile and Live. Then put the song on the Roxio Jukebox, so far everything sounds fine but when I burn to CD the song sounds slower, does anyone know what is causing this? Thanks.

I've also read something simular to this, for vocals, were you get a large metal salad bowl in front of the singer and point the mic away from the singer and towards the inside of bowl, I heard it works but never tried it myself.

Questions for home studio owners.
I am seriously thinking about setting up a home studio. My plans so far is to get a 002 rack, some good mics ,good preamps (one for each of the eight inputs, or four dual channels, because I heard the ones on the 002 are ok but not that great) and a Mac G4. What I want to know is: How do you deal wi...

Re: Whoa! More cowbell than you'll ever possibly need...
That reminds of that time when some company came out with 5 string guitars and everyone just made fun of it. But that guy on that site does look funny, playing that cowbell with passion and fire in his eyes, knowing that he might be inspiring a young cowbellist in the audience. Are you possibly mis...
