Guess I should consider myself lucky ( ...or stupid) United smashed two of mine ( on two separate instances) including a Taylor 814. To their credit, they paid me in full for both of them- one to be replaced and the other to be factory repaired. ( They paid for the 814 to get a new replacement body ...

I got them at B&H Photo earlier this year, but I see now they are currently out of stock. You can click a link on the site for them to notify you when they're in stock again. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?ci=0&shs=Beyerdynamic+942704&sb=ps&pn=1&sq=desc&InitialSearch=yes&O=jsp%2FRoo...

Sony 7506 Replacement earpads

I recently got Beyer's velour replacement pads for 3 old sets of my Sony 7506 phones and I gotta say these are just KILLER fixups for your old phones that the earpads have shredded on ( as they all eventually do ) They're made for the beyer DT 250's but fit the 7506's perfectly. The bass response se...

My most recent bizarre moment with USPS was- I needed a part in a hurry from a place that only ships via USPS. So I pay for overnight delivery. The mail guy, ( a good guy BTW) who normally comes to my house everyday and leaves ALL KINDS of stuff just sitting on my front steps next to my mailbox, now...

I've had 2 old m260's for a few years now. This year I bought a M130 and M160 pair and I laughed pretty hard when they arrived and I saw how tiny they are. From all the photos I just assumed they were the same size as the older m260's. These are like mini-mes. The m160's have a different grill than ...

I had a newer (90's) RAT that I never really used. I'm more of a TS9 guy. Then I sent it to Keeley for his mod, and it's just crazy good now. It's living in my pedalboard and sees a lot of use.

His mod page has some version info about them as well.

Chris, I too have a 1030 somewhere around here- I haven't used it in years. ( I'm mostly ITB, what can I say...)

I do seem to recall that the presets on mine would never store. Do you happen to know if there's a battery inside the unit for that?

I've had the portico about 2 + 1/2 years and also use API's. The portico has the "silk" option which gives you some extra options tone wise. With it off you get a cleaner, more "modern sound"-if you will- and with it on more of the Neve round/thickness. You'll get rounder bass and slightly less top ...

Maybe it's just console envy, but I think Universal understands us ITB guys need something cool on the desk besides a keypad and a coffeecup to impress the clients! The preamp racks only go so far...

Kinda has a TC Electronics 6000 vibe about it.

You should be able to find a closer solution, but here's a guy who I've personally used. Fixed a broken neck for me http://www.diburro.com/ He's in Exeter, NH. Buckdancer's Choice in Portland, Maine could likely help you as well. http://www.buckdancers.com/repairs.php Check out the repair challenge ...
