- Topic: [Group Buy Mic] Ouch... Group Buy mic just SHOCKED me!

Same happened to me with an Apex mic. Shoddy construction means that the cable can sometimes short when not inserted properly. I has my hand on the cable and my other on the mic; shock across my chest. Not cool. Also, some of the PSU cases on these mics are not properly grounded - they have earth ta...

I think it's more like 1:1.5 actually. Ypu can probably skip your output coupling cap from the PM1000 if it has one since the Neve transformer is gapped to handle DC. Terminate the secondary with a 10nF polystyrene in series with 1K5 to tame slight ringing. The EZ1290 guide shows a simple wiring gui...

Re: Are there any mods for the M-Audio Audio Buddy?
It seems like a good platform for some mods, but I can't find any info about it online anywhere. I need a new wall wart for mine, but I don't want to get a new one if I can't make it sound any better. Opamps are SIL from what I remember. It's just a bunch of opamps. Not a great design, plus the pha...

Re: Measuring Voltage on a high impedance load
Yes, you'll load-down this resistance with your meter (say 10 Meg) so take this into consideration.ckeene wrote: I'm trying to measure a DC voltage at a very high load (somewhere around 15Meg). At this level, do I need to be cautious about my DMM's impedance, lest the reading become inaccurate?
