DBX 162 ouput levels unbalanced

I have an old DBX 162 where the level of the right side is coming out about half as hot as the left. I have tried running test tones through it to make sure it wasn't just the mix, tried different cables, etc and still nothing.. Anyone ever have this problem and have any suggestions? I'm willing to ...

Paul Gold at Salt seems reasonable and looks to have a good history... Might send a song to him and try him out....

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I've been using www.monsterlabaudio.com but it's been hard to get into him lately. Maybe because he does good work for only $45 a song  .... I also liked the ease of setup. I upload to his server, he masters, he uploads back.. Looking at some of these sites I ...

Mastering suggestions?

Looking for an alternate mastering guy. My usual guy has been unavailable a lot lately and I'm in need of someone new.. The thing I love about my current mastering guy is first, his mastering, and second, the price.. Any suggestions? I prefer someone who doesn't charge for recalls, ftp server upload...

Removing a Macbook microphone and wiring?

This might sound a bit crazy but I have always loved the sound of the mics on Macbooks... Well, I have one that is dead (not the mic the computer) and was thinking of trying to remove the microphone and wiring it up... Does anyone know if this is at all possible?

You can also try taking the inside of a roll of toilet paper and cutting to place around the snare mic. I have found this to cut down on bleed quite a bit. I usually gate my snare as well. I will usually talk the drummer into hitting the hats softer or even raising his or her hi hats... My .02

I have the Tannoy ts12 and like it quite a bit. I don't have it very loud, just enough to make up for the NS10's I'm using... It took me quite a few mixes to dial it in, but it's great.

Here's what I would suggest. First, copy everything to another drive, preferably a secondary internal drive, but if you don't have that, then read on. If opening the session from a new location gives you the "can't find files" issue, tell it to ignore them, and open the session anyway. You'll see a...

Oh yeah I'm on a MAC. No other problems opening up any other sessions at all. This drive came from Italy from another engineer who recorded the session. I've heard this happens from time to time in pro tools. One mistake he made before sending this drive off, is he should have disconnected the other...
