The best Ring Modulator I've used, the Bode (licensend to and built by Moog for a time). It's a dual unit with no internal carrier.

Auditronics with LM301's should have a ceramic cap between pins 1 and 8 (20pf or lower). This should be removed if you swap it for a 5534 (as on some later modules) or other chips. Just wanted to mention that I have a MD2A (minus power supply) listed in the Buy/Sell forum. It is a more expensive version of the MD1A with a 3 micron diaphragm by Josephson (same backplate), also has a pad control to attenuate the sensitivity of the capsule.
