FA: Pair of MBHO Omnis and Crown SASS-P MK2 Stereo Mic

I have two auctions on eBay right now for your consideration. One is a pair of MBHO MBP-603 bodies with KA-100 LK linear omni capsules . Often compared to the Schoeps line of modular mics and capsules, these are excellent for classical recording, drum overhead, piano, room mics, etc. Also up for auc...

Re: Theremin

Hi Tom. That's Terman's Rhythmicon. I got to work with it during a residency at the Terman Center (Moscow Conservatory), about two years ago. As far as I know, it's the only working model (at least of the one's Terman built) that survived. It only uses one photocell--each key triggers a light direct...

Re: Auditronics Upgrades

Auditronics with LM301's should have a ceramic cap between pins 1 and 8 (20pf or lower). This should be removed if you swap it for a 5534 (as on some later modules) or other chips. As with all chip replacements, watch out for stability. You can do other tweaks like replacing the feedback compensatio...

Thanks Joel. Some other people I've asked have said the EQs are really subtle... like you have to really crank the knobs to hear much difference. Do you find that to be the case? -steve I have a pair of SS 500 eq's, the two band switcheable. They are not very aggresive eq's but are musical and work...

Just wanted to mention that I have a MD2A (minus power supply) listed in the Buy/Sell forum. It is a more expensive version of the MD1A with a 3 micron diaphragm by Josephson (same backplate), also has a pad control to attenuate the sensitivity of the capsule.

Best,

James

The eq is probably the same as the AE-20, bridged-T RC cut and boost in the feedback loop of the op-amp. Schematic (without values):
