I'm 6'2" with appropriately-sized ears, which means it's unavoidable that part of my ears get pressed against my head, which is fine for a...

Mouser/Digikey Parts, Help! (Momentary Footswitch)

Does anyone else (not an EE by trade) hate sifting through these sites? All I want is a momentary (on or off by default! either way!) DPDT footswitch, which seems like an easy enough proposition. The problem is that sifting through these sites is often confusing (I've ordered the wrong part at least...

Has anyone had any luck buying off of people on Craig's list? Every time I find a good deal on there for something I need, the person won't ship it. I stopped looking there because nobody seemed willing to sell to me. Unfortunately where I am (Wisconsin), there's no active craigs list type stuff go...

the iheartnoise board has a page dedicated to DIY distro links, stuff like dupes, merch screen printing, etc. it's actually really good. even if you're not into that sort of thing, check out the forum the above thread is in, it's all related to putting out small, creative releases of things. if any...

That's possible, I was at Eric's studio the other day and he had the Lynx plugged directly in the Windows XP packaging. Still, I think he was getting fairly good fidelity, for not using a computer.

..actually, I don't understand what's going on.

i could not cope with the gain it adds..sounded like pure ass. I suspect tho if I had a few minutes alone to diddle with the thing I could get some sounds I like. Definitely the case on both ends, it can definitely be a touchy beast, especially on the gain front, but you can definitely get some nic...

if he's on a laptop, have him try it on battery power. I had mean problems with that on my last computer. Some one here actually pointed me in the direction. I found that if I put my ear to the brick on the laptop power cable, I could hear the exact sound I was hearing. bad news is I never found a ...

unless I go into boot options menu. The funny thing is that when I actually do boot into windows So wait, when you say "boot options" menu, do you mean setting the boot order in the BIOS? Also, if you're able to consistently boot Windows, what exactly is the problem? I'm mostly confused because you...

While we're on the subject [not really], does anyone know why the Alesis ModFX series was discontinued? Bitrmans in particular go for almost double the original retail price on eBay, and while that price obviously wouldn't hold if they rereleased them, they could still make a killing rereleasing the...
