Does anyone know how to open Simmons drum pads?

... Without breaking them, that is! I'd like to replace the triggers in them and I can't see how they come apart. Can any of you old-school electronics folks out there help?

Thanks!

It wouldn't be very used! The latest top-of-the-line models start at 1.5 Ghz.... why not just buy a new one?

Re: converting from ProTools to other editor

Yeah, that's a really good idea. I spent a few months using the free version just to learn it before I purchased the real deal. The MBox is always an option, too.

Re: advice for live laptop monitoring

cool! i'll look into those..... that's probably the best way to go, huh? somebody mentioned the in-ear's yesterday and i was like, "duh!". they weigh nothing and would probably do the job!

it is for performances, but really just to monitor for ourselves.....

Re: advice for live laptop monitoring

i have tried the eon's. they weren't loud enough, unfortunately. our drummer is a hard hitter so that's what i'm competing with sonically. i have a feeling i'm going to have to invest in some nice in-ear monitors! thanks for the advice.

also... i've found that even though mac osx does recognize the controller, installing the driver can prevent certain annoyances. it's got to be worth a try.
