okay, i was banging my head for months, and when the time came, nothing sounded right. so i asked my dog (maya), and she grabbed (eventually) her rescue dog toy with the words "search and rescue" on it...and search & rescue recording was good enough for me, and i'm still very happy with it.

question: as i'm sending rough mixes out the door with a client, and the client paying the balance due upon completion, can/should i be watermarking these mixes? my watermarking i mean, inserting white noise on a channel, and unmuting every once or twice. is this cool, or would i be crossing the lin...

just use the mute button on that channel as your talkback button. thanks man, I don't know what digi was thinking? I like their software but this sucks, I am gonna have to use a open channel but I know its going to get left "open" during a great take and scew it up or a producer is gonna start talki...

i have the 002 control surface, and i usually run a 58 to a spare channel, and send that out as a talk back it works like a charm.......in a pinch

so, the latest tip i have been given about my "pro tools freezing" issue is to upgrade my os to 10.4.2 i'm currently running 10.4 does anybody know if this could be the problem, and correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't 10.4.2 is approved by digidesign?

the drive is cool now, it's the cpu usage up above 50% that is slowing pro tools down, then freezing. are the numbers of memory (real and virtual) normal? i've really no direction as why my computer (while in PT only) is getting the crap kicked out of it. any thoughts? are any of the numbers on my p...

no, i remembered after the fact, the the update for 6.9.2 involves using an interface (002) and having your drive recognized as a record volume, after the update, it was all good. well, except for the "kernel_task" here is some data on this kernel_task that i found in the actvity window kernel_task ...
