FS: Hamptone HJFP2 (JFET) Stereo Preamp - SOLD!

***SOLD*** I'm not doing much recording these days, so I've decided to sell my beloved Hamptone JFET preamp to finance other endeavors. The HJFP2 is a fully transformer balanced stereo preamp and it sounds amazing. You won't find a better mic amp anywhere at this price, not even close. I have and wi...

I spent some time researching this a while ago. This was the only potential solution I came up with:

Haven't tried it though.

I'd also love to hear your impressions of the V67g, stock vs. Joly mod.

If you're set on getting one of Joly's mics, then an SM7 and a mod'd V67g would be around $600. You could also get a used SM7 and pick up Joly's K47 cap for your pencil mic.

I don't think you're considering any bad options.

What about an SM7 and a Bluebird or maybe an AT4040. You don't HAVE to buy a mic and have it mod'd by Michael Joly. Not that that's a bad option.

For $600 you should easily be able get an SM7 and a complimentary LDC. Unless there's a $600 mic you are sure you want, I'd go that route.

I've never used one, but it seems like the CAD M179 is pretty well liked as a multi-pattern workhorse for cheap. Note it's an LDC, not a SDC like the SP1. They go for $150 new if that's within your budget. It's also variable pattern which is VERY cool. I'm actually shocked that I'm the first one to ...

I have the JFET pre and it's a fantastic bass di/preamp. I'm sure the tube model would be as well.

Unfortunately, I'm selling these to help pay to replace my old G4 powerbook, which is no longer keeping up. So I'd prefer the money.

But, I'd entertain swapping them for a decent workhourse LDC, like an AT4040 or similar, plus cash.

FYI - I do take Paypal.

WTB: Red or Oktava LDC caps for Mk-012's

I'm interested in buying a pair of LDC caps for my Oktava MK-012's. Anyone have a pair of Red R12 caps or Oktava MK-101 or MK-102 caps they'd be interested in selling?

thanks.
