im not exactly sure how much it is, but the studio projects C3 really is pretty great. meets and\or excedes your standards. try it. find one and give it a listen.

I feel the same way....and I would even go so far as to say that I believe that PT looks way smarter and efficient. The colors are a huge help in the studio, when a musician can just point at "the red one" and the layout seems to make a lot of sense to me. DP just gives me a headache. Logic is anoth...

or if you really want a flaming lips kik sound you could just put a 47 up in front of the kik in a dope room with steven kiking away and then compress the bastard. then sample it and use it on all of your other songs/records. i would try the 52 in and maybe the mxl out. not sure how low the mxl goes...
