so, last I posted, I was dealing with a flooded basement studio. after four days of pumping and three months of fans, the place is "kind of dry". I'm walling off a section and installing an air-conditioner to de-humidify it. 'til then I'm dealing with a MOLD EXPLOSION! I'm talkin' green-white-yellow...

I'm wiring up some guitars in stereo and having some problems. both are two pickup guitars---each pickup gets it's own volume, no tone, and each goes to a mono jack (more versitile than a stereo jack, at least for now). now, they have to share ground from the same bridge, obviously...but, I...

like most folks studios, mine has all types of cables and cords on the floor. now, what's the real deal with people stepping on 'em and the possibility for damage?

like most people's studio floor, mine is covered in microphone and instrument cables. inevitably, they're getting stepped on.

It amazes me that even the greatest of songwriters, performers, producers and engineers can manage to create really bad music--one thinks of, say, McCartney's "Give My Regards to Broad Street," or late Elvis, or the solo catalog of Mick Jagger. whoa...there is some really amazing late Elvis stuff. ...
