Thanks for the compliment! It's always encouraging... :) It's hard to come up with richer sounds with a duo setting. I tried to make a loop with MS2000 but then once I overdubbed, the loop changed. So I guess I either need another keyboard or a sampler. Or I can achieve it by other equipments? What'...

I was told that a laptop is not ideal for home studio. is that true? what if i get a nice external sound card and hook it up to a mack...

losing my 4031
this is what I thought had happened: the AT4031 were mainly used as overhead mics and they worked great with my analog 4-track. up until a couple months ago when I hooked them to Firepod which as we all know has 48V phantom power on board. Afterwards, I switched back to 4-track recording and notice ...

FIREPOD/AT 4031
I have(had) a couple AT4031 mics. They got total after I plugged them in my FIREPOD. Anyone had any idea why? I sent in my firepod to Presonus and got it back after 2 months without hearing any comments from them...
Any suggestions about using Firepod? Or would I be better off without that?
Merci...

AT Mic 3041
I have a couple of Audio Techinica condensor mics(3041). They were given by a friend in the mid-90's I think... I lost the manual guide and now I really need to find out if they are power by 48V or 44V. Any ideas?
Thanks...

try Cool Edit Pro
I use Cool Edit Pro a lot. It's a very organic system, compared to Cubase and Sonar. It doesn't have a big name but I truly believe that it's the best multi-track program.
