you can attach photos, but you have to make them small. I usually resize them to 800x600 or 640x480 --something really small like that and then I can attach them. I think it is more of a file size limit

Re: Latest gear you've acquired.....

just got a Telefunken M80 to use on snare. I really like the M82 on kick and so far I like the M80 on snare too. I was using a 57 before. So far only got to test it on a "tight" snare but sounds like it has a bit more pop with the TFunk. on a side note - I have 2 of the SE x1D mics. I have one that ...

How about mics, preamps, compressors? Any suggestions?
something that was available in 1970/1971. U67? U87? I'm sure Bearsville was well stocked.

Re: Coronavirus Health Precautions for Studios

given the lack of information that came from China in the first place, I can't help but be skeptical about a research paper that also appears to be from China (where the government definitely has control over publications). it also doesn't seem to reflect what is currently going on in the USA. Lots ...

Re: shedshrine 3.0 build

for elevating monitors, I've been using patio blocks - usually the 12 x 12 x 1.5" or so. Then I put a layer of foam shelf liner between the block and the monitor. if I want to go higher I'll stack a couple, or I've also added pieces of 2x4, or other bricks under that so it does not get so heavy. I f...

Re: anyone sell their own samples?

I was one of a few drummers hired to make samples for this -- https://realitone.com/products/realidrums

to be honest I've never actually seen the app, but appears to be used with Kontakt player, so not sure if that is WAV or some other format?

Re: anyone sell their own samples?

I've always just gotten WAV samples too. CD or download. other than shipping a CD or providing a secure download, not sure if its worth going too much further. Sure, someone is probably going to buy it and then pirate it, etc. but hopefully that's even smaller scale. Implementing something more soph...

there are also people still selling PM1000 modules, so it's not too difficult to rack up a pair if you really like the sound.

Re: Downsizing advice

I always do similar evaluation. when's the last time I used it? am I planning to use it in the near future? Or sometimes, it's just do I have justification for something expensive, and could I do the same (or 99% the same) with something less pricey? but let me say there will probably be regrets. it...

and since I had 2 Audix D6's and bought a Miktek PM11, I sold one of the D6's. I mostly use the Telefunken M82 anyway... pricey, but excellent mic.

Re: Cabling: What's the cheapest 24 channel TRS snake you'd buy?

if your handy with the soldering iron, Redco sells the goods and you can make your own with high quality parts for less bucks. otherwise, agree that Hosa/Seismic/monoprice will work if you don't move them around. I also have one of these -- https://www.audiopile.net/PSX-12 that I use for a drums sna...

Re: Latest Gear You've Un-Acquired....

my "live rig", that I only used once or twice for that purpose... consisting of a Digi 002R, ADA-8000, and a power conditioner in a 4U rack, along with an older laptop that has firewire, is now shipping off to a buddy. Probably feeling the effects of quarantine, he decided it was time to learn Pro T...
