Yeah I remember them from Jr high band rehearsal rooms. Look familiar? http://www.silentsource.com/ceilings-ac-woodfiber.html I think the key words are 'wood fiber' Lots of sources out there...not sure how the products compare to one another though. Lots of new cement/wood fiber ones around now, I t...

Well no luck. It seems to need both high and low to get signal, but this also gives cross talk. I've tried lifting each lead as well as switching their positions and then lifting them individually. The closest thing to 'working' I get is lifting the low (cold) leads and bridging them (found this out...

Yes these are the first ones. I'm using the in and out only and haven't wired up the keys at all. The molex diagram screened on the back of the PS rack shows a balanced connection- high, low, and ground, for each of the 3 connections (in, out, and key). I'm guessing there's no balancing circuitry in...

Allison audio RM-160 rack connection

I recently picked up a few more Gain Brains and have decided to load up the Allison rack I've had kicking around forever. I noticed that there was signal bleed and interaction between Gain Brains. When I checked it out I found that all of the low (pin 3 I guess) terminals are common both in and out....

Local first for sure.
The regular one I will probably pick up is from the area and is a decent price.
I was offered a broken xr for $900...I passed.
$600 for a working xr is a dreamy deal.

WTB- Alesis HD24xr

Hi all

I've had it with recording to my old Imac.

I've tried out the HD24 and like the work flow so I'd like to track down an HD24xr.

Please PM me with price and location if you have one you'd like to sell.

Thanks
Chris

I've been looking into buying an HD24xr, and I've come across lots of web posts where folks are using just the converters on them (one dude even disconnected the hard drive because he thought it was noisy). A quick google will lead you to gearslutz where there seems to be a lot more users. I don't m...
