Re: For the Bluegrass fans out there...

Out of curiousity - where did you get your Peluso 22 47's from and how long have you had them? Do you record bands pretty often? I'd like to hear some of your Peluso tracks! I have used the Peluso 47 only so far on vocals - guitar - and for room micing drums. Superb results. John keeps saying he is ...

What has become of this idea??? I'm totally up for it!! I'm in Brooklyn and have a Peluso 22 251 on hand - just got it today - I am thinking of dealing for them and would love to bring this over somewhere local for a nice shoot-out / comparison - slash TapeOp hob knobbery. I have barely used ...

Re: tape revalation.

When I bounce in logic my mixes always sound a tad worse than they did existing in logic. Even if I bounce to 24bit w/ decent dithering. I may also be crazy, but I've found my mixes in logic to sound better when I send everything to a bus and then turn that bus down a lot before it routes to the mas...

Re: new tube compressor by electro harmonix

I heard it today as well, the headphones were absolute shite though. I gotta remember to bring my own next time I do something like this. The compressor offers 3 different sources of optical compression which seems really cool. I could def. make out some 1176 sound from one of them. Interested to he...

Re: old school punk rock

check out the x-ray spec's "germ free youth", the stranglers had some really good singles, check out Rattus Norvegicus and No More Heros by them. errrm, i consider xtc's first album "white music" to be very punk sounding though the lyrics aren't. White Music is totally amazing. i'm not sure how old ...
