I have the Ampeg B200R, which is a similar cabinet to the reissue portaflex with a 15" Eminence. I've been playing out with it for a few years and generally like it. However, the last few times I've played out, it has been through 2x10s and I really liked the punch I got through them, whereas the 15...

I am showing the trailer for this documentary to Honors American History classes that have been studying the Industrial Revolution. We've had great discussions about how technology impacts culture, and they have easily made connections between how they feel about technology and how people living in ...

Totally! After sifting through lists of identically named files (bv1, gtr2, etc.), I was able to recover everything I had lost. Nevertheless, I am determined not to make the same mistake again!

Thanks, dsw! I've tried it that way, too. It records fine that way, but if I'm using the Tango for i/o during mixdown I get audio dropouts.

Did I just do that? Yes I did.

Deleted files from a PT session. At the END of a mix I usually select unused files and delete them to save space. Somehow, tracks in the edit window were selected, as well . . . shite. Managed to salvage most of the tracks (sans editing) using session backups and Data Rescue III -- $99 well spent. S...

Thanks for the reply, Al. I had gotten new cables, the "better" Hosa ones. Maybe I should get the cheapies and see if I have better luck.

Clocks are set correctly, thanks for asking! Have you ever found heat in the rack to cause clock errors?

Cheers,

Converter woes

Hey all, hope you're managing the heat okay. I'm glad to be in the basement! I use a Tango 24 with my 002 rig. I'm using it to connect outboard gear for mixing, i.e., compressors, etc. It works fine for a while, but I inevitably get pops and clicks after an hour or so. Could this be caused by heat i...

Wild story. I wonder is this is one way that the law enforcement and legal system are working together to keep the courts from getting severely bogged down. It never fails that the cases that take up the most time are for minor drug possession and traffic violation charges. By getting people to plea...

+1 PRO VLA. I don't have any experience with the PRO VLA II, though.

I built an 1176 "G" from Hairball Audio/MNATS for under $500. Sounds awesome! Might be an option if you're handy with a soldering iron and don't mind sourcing some parts.

Thanks, Al_Huero.

I think the only possible explanation is cables. I'm getting new ones to swap out; hopefully that takes care of the problem!
