Mackie HUI or Baby HUI, you can even turn the screen off and run your DAW.

edit: baby hui dosent have a counter or scribble strips so HUI or Mackie Control.

Absolutely, the only downside is no digital scribble strips, but in pro tools the eight faders chosen are outlined in blue. Between the HUI and the bluetooth keyboard I rarely use the mouse.

Are you using pro-tools? you can bounce down the drums and import them, then disable the drum tracks instead of deleting them to create more unused tracks. then if you want to change something you can disable the new tracks and re-able the drum tracks and bounce again etc.

you can track direct and re-amp through different amps/ mics/ mic positions/ pre's/ comps etc. It can save your ass if you screw up while tracking.

The only positive use Ive found for my bbe is running my turntables through one. But it works fantastic for that.
