there is some "known issue" that when you open a new session while your initial session is open- you crash the app... Just to be clear, that bug was fixed in 2.0.5 (or before, I forget) It is still the case that an instance of Mixbus can only open one session at a time. I don't see that changing an...

lysander: You don't actually have to use JACK at all. Just launch Mixbus, and it has a tab called "Audio Settings" which lets you choose your I/O, samplerate, etc. Your track inputs and master outputs are routed to your I/Os by default (but you can change them if you want). Here's an idea. Use a thinner piece of glass on both sides of the wall. Use a very thick piece of plexiglass, installed at an angle, in the middle of the wall. Thick plexi is a lot cheaper than glass and by mounting it at an angle you will reduce the coupling between the two parallel glass surfaces....

Ceiling ideas

Your first goal is to isolate the room. It's going to be tough to do this within an 8' height. If you have no ceiling yet, you should consider adding a new set of joists, in between the existing joists and an inch lower, and attach the ceiling to that. This will reduce (but not eliminate) the struct...

New store for acoustic materials in Nashville

I hope this is cool to post; I promise to keep it short. There is a new retail store in Nashville that sells acoustic treatment and other studio stuff. The website is still really crude but you get the idea. Check it out at http://www.studiooutfitters.com Tape Op rocks! -Ben Loftis www.studiooutfitt...
