Richard Thompson

I love Richard Thompson's solo albums "Pour Down Like Silver", "I Want To See The Bright Lights Tonight" and "Henry The Human Fly". I guess you have to like that traditional english sound though.

Roger,
If I can't get a power supply in the next few months maybe I'll contact you about selling the mic. It's of no use to me until I get that power supply.

I just found out that I need a PS2M power supply along with the cable that goes with it to power the GT Model One mic. Groove Tubes no longer makes it. Bummer.

P.S. If anyone wants to sell one please contact me. Thanks.

WTB: Groove Tubes Power supply AND cable for MD1 tube mic

I bought a GT model one tube mic on ebay. It doesn't have the power supply and necessary cable though. Does anyone have one for sale?

Let me know.

Thanks for the info. I checked on the groove tubes site and it appears that there is a power supply and cable for all of their tube mics. I emailed the support people. I'll cross my fingers.

Thanks for your help.

I bought a GT Model One mic on ebay and it doesn't have an XLR mic connector. Does anyone know what type of adapter or cable I need?

The bass player for The Mother Hips, Paul Hoaglin also played bass pedals along with the drums in his 2 man band The Sheets. I also saw him at the Fillmore where he played bass pedals, finger picked an acoustic guitar, and sang!!! He is the most amazing musician I've ever known. He also played bass ...

Fulltone Fat-Boost: This thing is awesome!!

I just got a fulltone fat-boost to put in front of some of my small tube amps. It sounds amazing! Not only does it crank the volume up but it also allows me to get nice overdrive distortion on my champ using a telecaster. If you increase the drive on the unit it can get some pretty dirty sounds out ...

BASS PEDALS: Who is using them and how?

Does anyone use bass pedals for bass in their songs? I've seen the Mother Hips bass player use them and I do enjoy the sound that they give. Any favorite types and/or amps to use with them?

Thanks,

TapeOp DVD? In the works?

I would love to see a dvd made from some of the highlights from TapeOp Con. I'd also buy a dvd from Larry (or Anyone on the board) concerning studio techniques and tricks. Anyone else have any interest?

HEAT from Manley pre! Do I need a fan?

I noticed that my manley dual mono mic pre runs very hot. I have it racked between two other units. Should I move it away from the other units by 1RU? Should I get a small fan to blow on my rack at all times? What do you guys do?

Thanks,

Swapping 1 STRAT pickup for a humbucker. Why?

I've seen quite a few people swap out ONE of the stock strat pickups with a humbucker. Does this eliminate the majority of the hum or will you still be subject to some?

Thanks for clearing up your original intention. Electronic communication is sometimes unclear. I did take it as condescension but I guess it wasn't supposed to be. No hard feelings.
