Oops, sorry Astrodan. I did figure out how this Bittorrent thing works. But no way in hell am I opening up my laptop iTunes to P@P as it has people's demos and a ton of unreleased Elliott Smith on it! I want to play fair but... it was always my understanding that when using BitTorrent, you are only...

A band who can't work together to put together a record that has a clear musical identity probly won't translate for audiences and last that long anyway. The studio is a place where final artistic decisions have to be made and committed to. It did seem like that was the case. during the fight they ...

The band's writing duties are split between the singer and the guitar player. they brought me 10 songs. i picked 5 that i liked. (here's the nutshell v...

audience recording microphone pref?

i'm about to record a club gig later this week. it's a seated/table kind of place that probably holds 200 people. i'll be taking a stereo feed from the board, and have a stereo audience mic(s). will my pair of KM184's be a good choice for the audience? i've never used them for distance. if not, i'll...

Alan Douches at West West Side Music.

Alan is amazing and his price was unbelievable.

He CLEARLY posts his prices on his website which i find really helpful when budgeting a project.

i'll definitely use him again.

i love trash. that intro's lo-fi -ness is also part of the sample i used. it's the M-Tron mellotron tape samples. if you haven't heard them, they're just wonderful. besides the flute/cello stuff that everyone's heard, the mellotron had these full rhythm sections playing these great old-style backing...
