create a click track with the band for each song with tempo changes in the right places. then have your drummer play to those. (you can have someone else track there part with the drummer if you want) but click track demo's will speed up the workflow the quickest and so worth there time in preproduc...

i've heard of this. i've heard that this is the "trick" to get that "big" sound. especially with guitars.

it's upgrading time at Grade B Studios. and to replace my aging Aardvark Q10 i splurged and purchaced the 01V 2496 version 2, and a Hammerfall card. i hope to have it in a couple weeks.

i've used the K2 and think its an amazing mic for the price. i did not find the top end to be harsh at all, it was quite nice.

all you guys that have been bouncing externally are taking a digital signal, converting it to anologe, sending it out the sound card outs -> into an anologe device or digital (if digital this converion is then done twice), -> then back into your inputs, and converted back to digital (possibly again)...

what if i track guitars between -6 and 0 digitally, then mixing with subgroups; is the result the same as tracking at a lower level or am i adding extra noise from the orignal tracks being so loud?
