Re: The eleven worst songs of 2004
Cleary the point of this website is mindless humour. Some is funny and some just plain irritating. All of it appears to be ignorant. Arguing with it is an exercise in futility... Johnny This isn't directed at you johnny... ...we can disagree what "funny" is, but this is clearly not mindless. Readin...

Re: Some questions about summing...I don't get it
oh dear here we go... I believe that the problem here is that you are confusing several issues. What I think you are saying is that if a person can't get a good sounding mix in ProTools, it must be because of sonic shortcomings in ProTools itself or in its 2 bus. And that statement is simply incorre...

Re: Know anything about stripped screws??
I think east3rdst is saying that the screws are not going in like they should, or tightening as he put it. Yeah thats it. It's a beater powerbook and was in rough shape when I got it, but my TLC seems to have taken it's toll on the screws. They turn and begin to tighten and then slip past the tight...

Know anything about stripped screws??
I'm getting pretty hands on fixing my powerbook, however the consequence of taking it apart many times is the the screws are not tighting anymore. Is there a fix? Is it just the screws or the case they are screwing in to? As always thanks!

Re: Anyone here want to leave the country? (or lives in anot
I will continue to write my representatives, whether they be on the town, county, state, or federal level, and remind them on a regular basis about not only what I don't like, but what I do like, in regards to our country and society. Be sure write Bush/Cheney and let them know that they are killin...

...and just so it's noted, I'm not talking about specific people, it's all of us. We have an interesting ability to live very contradicting, double standard, lives. We can recognize and condemn terrible "evil", but fail to see the evil we benefit from.

Re: Anyone here want to leave the country? (or lives in anot
As far as the results being fixed, I live in chicago, and Chicago always goes to Democrats, and quite a few dead people, end up voting. So any foul play is on both side, and gets evened out in the end. What I really can't believe, is that people think any politician will make a differene. They are ...

My situation allow my to start from scratch and build a control room with in a giant live room, allowing construction to be any shape, size, ...

Help!! Powerbook backlight dead (maybe). Need tech sites!
Thanks for reading. Can someone point me in the right direction obtaining mac tech help (don't say apple.com). My Backlight isn't coming on. It just flashes once on the right side of the screen, and then just a really dimmed picture is visable. I'm pretty hands on with my apple repairs, I've torn it...

Re: check out this DIY stuff!
Subversive nerds! I mean that with the utmost respect. In difference to dedicated solutions, like today's commercial products or PIC16F based MIDIboxes, MIOS follows the concept of an open computing system as fundament for idea exchange and personal adaptions. In this manner MIOS breaks down the ski...
