1968 Sunburst Hagstrom II, TEAC A-3440 R2R
Hello TO denizens, long time, no post! I have some gear you folks might be interested in - I am a happy dad now, and I think the time has come to pare my studio down to the essentials. I hate to do it, but I need to liquidate a few assets to put into my custom tube amp biz, groceries, rent, things o...

WTT for a cool analog synth
Hello! I have a Grace Model 101 silver mic pre, ribbon version, two RME Multifaces and one PCI card, an older Blue Baby Bottle, a Valley People rack with two Kepex gates and some other stuff, including several handbuilt tube guitar amp heads in the 10 to 30 watt range by yours truly. I would love to...

Grace 101: $425
Title pretty much sums it up. It's an older silver one, the ribbon version. I was assured by my Sweetwater sales rep. at the time that the ribbon version was only different in that it had a bit more gain, which indeed it does. You can search the forums for opinions on this preamp, but here are mine:...

RME Multifaces & PCI Card + G4 Ram, LCD's, Tubes!
Hello! My G4 went kaput on the motherboard, so my RME stuff has to go - I'm now running a new iMac that doesn't support PCI cards. Here's what I've got: 2 RME Multifaces: one older grey one and one newer blue one. These are both the Mk 1 versions, I believe the only differences between the MF 1 & 2 ...

A buddy of mine tells the story of seeing John Zorn playing through a Marshall stack one time. It was so loud, and my friend was standing so close that he swears there was a moment when his vision flipped upside-down. This chart http://www.makeitlouder.com/Decibel%20Level%20Chart.txt has some very i...

WTB: Tape or Analog Delay
Hey hey everybody,
I would love to purchase a Hiwatt CTE, Roland Space Echo, Diamond Memory Lane, or maybe some other character-full delay with interesting or unusual properties. I am willing to pay a reasonable price.
Thanks!

My father lived on a boat in DC for a time, and neighbored a famous congressman from California who eventually got indicted on corruption charges and became a mock-hero to Stephen Colbert. The "yacht club" where my father, said congressman and many other boat-living people lived had an annual mother...

I don't know why but every time I build an amp, it sounds lackluster for about the first 60 to 100 hours and then everything seems to gel. Even through old speakers, etc. so it's not the speaker aging. It may be psychology. It takes time to adjust to a new amp. That is about the timeframe that Sozo...
