Here's the deal:
Free for pick up in Hollywood

Thanks Mike,

Good point I don't have to find something that sounds like those. I'll just have to retrain my ears.

I've heard good things about the Equators elsewhere and they are definitely on the list.

alesis monitor one replacements

I've used alesis monitor one (passive) for monitoring and mixing for over ten years. My ears have gotten used to them, but I need to move an active system (I'm done with separate amps). Is there anything you can recommend that would sound similar. I've gotten quite used to mixing on these. I'm not a...

Valgeir Sigur?sson

Hi, I found the article on Valgeir Sigur?sson very inspirering. He has such an organic aproach and creates very interesting sounds. I wanted to hear as much as possible so I created a playlist on Spotify of his stuff (well what was on Spotify, a little Bjork heavy). Thought it was a waste not to sha...

Can I open a Pro Tools 7.3 HD file in ProTools 7.1 M-Powered

I think the subject says it all.

Can I open a Pro Tools 7.3 HD (MAC) file in Pro Tools 7.1 M-Powered (PC)? Or even if both computers were MACs.

Thanks

Come on Lance, who wears the pants in your household?

I've never used a 528 so I'm not sure, but it's definitly a much more flexible eq.

I dragged the xpand instance over and the correct track played. Of course now the other track is crapping out. I duplicated the first track to get the second as I wanted the sounds to be similar. Is that the source of the problem? try swapping (by dragging) the instances of xpand. which track plays?

While having the track selected, I opened the Track menu and there is a option to "make inactive" not a "make active" so I think the track is active. But I still can't hear it and there's no action on little meter.

Actually I've been working on Starfire, but mines going to be an instrumental and for what it's worth I don't mind company. centurymantra is the bottom line here so it's his call.

I said I would record using external pres and report back. So here it is; using my racked Neotek 1e channel strips and sm7b on an acoustic I actually thought it sounded pretty good, but hissy. The noise floor on the BR was just to high for my taste, but it might work if you depending on the project....

Thanks Chuck, but it's still not working.

They are both instrument tracks using Xpand on the insert of the track.
