Rosetta 800. Hands down the biggest improvment to my sound. I've got an old 896 slaved to the apogee as well. The sound of the MOTU unit was improved considerably.

Most budget or mid level kits are made from poplar or cheap mahogony. You might...

I went from a Motu 828 to the Apogee Rosetta 800. It was money well spent. Hands down no contest in sound quality between the two. Now I run an 896 as well but clock of the rosetta. The 896's sound quality improved noticeably. Apogee makes the best sounding stuff I think.

Motu and Apogee together

I run dp 4.5 on my powerbook. I use a rosetta 800 for ad/da. Anybody know if I can also use my Motu 896 along with the Rosetta? Do these drivers cooperate? I'm looking for additional in/outs.

Best insulation for basement ceiling?

I'm building a jamroom/studio space in the basement of my home. My goal at the moment is trying to keep the noise of bass amps and kick drums to a minimum in the rest of the home.
