Out of curiosity, the other day I plugged the mic from Rock Band in my computer and it worked. Can't attest to the sound quality, but I thought it was neat.

I amazingly saw this laying on a random table in a local Goodwill and snatched it up for like 50 cents. It was in perfect condition and I gave it to a friend because of a lack of a turntable at the time.

You wouldn't believe what I do for 7.28 an hour working in a group home with 8 mentally disabled adults. And you probably would make around 9.00 an hour here working at an AT&T wireless. On the other hand, you can find a decent to nice apartment for 375 a month.

Don't know about "official" nicknames, but my friends and I have always referred to any longish, skinny mic like an earthworks or an ecm8000 as light saber mics. We also refer to the EV 635a as "the hammer" since we figured you could use it as such if needed.

I like it alot. It really reminds me of the Anomoanon with the reverb and the drum sound.

The average price of an EV 635A purchased by people in this thread is 40.45.

I got a pretty decent one (cosmetically) that sounds great for 30 bucks on ebay about 2 or 3 years ago.
