There are some sublime 12/8 jams on that record.
Yep! I'm surprised that I've never heard it sampled.....

Probably OT... but the idea of disposable music in a culture isn't really all that bad, if that means that music has become deattached from commerce. (In my case, that is certainly true...:D ) But do consider this... from the Folkways "Mbuti Pygmies of the Ituri Rainforest" (Colin Turnbull.. 1992) T...

I have a 65 Casino and a 90's Casino. I replaced the pickups, nut, and bridge saddles on the 90's model.... and I have to say, that there is very little difference sound wise between the two. 330s are great and should be exactly the same as the Casinos.... but I have always found them to be more agg...

I have one exactly like yours.... and it often gets chosen for recording over vintage Telecasters.....
Great guitars.

I have been playing since 64 or so... back then Telecasters were cheap, entry level guitars. These tribute models carry on that tradition.

Often that slight buzzy distortion on the decay is the result of some bad caps... sometimes a slightly dropped voice coil.... and sometimes just dirt and loose parts. I love old Valco/Supro amps, they are definitely worth fixing up.

I have to go with Deluxe Reverb, AC15, or tweed Gibson GA6.

I just did a quick check of the 'Bay.... some DA7s have sold for as little as $499.00 recently. One had 3 lightpipe cards in it. I bought mine loaded with cards, meter bridge, etc in about 2001 or so. I had roughly $5K in it. So after 6 years it is worth 10% of original cost. I am sure that other di...

At around 9:38 or so of this 12 minute video is an example of some cool fuzz bass...... NOT a pedal.

Best of all, you don't need an amp.

Broadcaster pickup is great in the bridge.... original, if you can find one, or the Duncan vintage Broadcaster is a real good close second. I have one Tele with a '51 Champ lap steel pickup in it, really great! It came out of a basket case. Please don't go out and destroy lap steels to get the picku...

I did the DA7 thing when it first came out. Like you, after years of analog console mixing, I decided to go all digital. My DA7 was equipped with 3 AES/EBU cards which went straight into 3 888 24 I/Os. In that configuration, I couldn't use the inserts at mixdown, which was a drag.... so make sure of...

I have used both. Get the Neumann..... The Sputnik is hyped in a way that you might think is cool if it was your first "real" mic. The 147 is not the best Neumann ever made, but it sees regular use in my studio and is usually interesting. I almost never use it on vocals.... unless I am trying to get...
